Gov. Ademola Adeleke Orders Arrest of Ajagungbade's Killers

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has directed the Commissioner of Police in the state to immediately arrest and prosecute all those found to be involved in the killing of Mr. Ajagungbade Emir.

The governor gave the directive while reacting to the killing, which was allegedly linked to a leadership tussle among rival groups operating at one of the state’s motor parks.

Adeleke also directed the immediate vacation of motor parks by the warring groups and ordered the establishment of a new Park Management System with immediate effect, as part of measures to restore discipline, orderliness and peace across motor parks in the state.

While calling on residents and members of the public to remain calm, the governor directed security agencies to restore normalcy in all affected motor parks and ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state.

Adeleke charged the Commissioner of Police to act immediately, stressing that there would be no sacred cows in the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for the killing.

Law and order must be maintained. There will be no sacred cows as all culprits will be brought to book.
